Chocolate and Avocado Mousse

This mouse is delicious, smooth and is super simple to make! Avocado and dark chocolate are well known to boost brain function and have anti-inflammatory properties. Why not use them in a dessert!

Ingredients

  • 2 beautifully (not overly) ripe avocados, peel and scoop out flesh

  • 2 beautifully (not overly) ripe bananas, peel and break into 3cm pieces

  • 1/4 - 1/2 c Cacao (depending on how dark you like it)

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp coconut cream

  • 1-2 Tbsp 100% pure maple syrup 

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 Tbsp almond butter (optional)

  • Pinch of good quality sea salt

  • Cacao nibs to garnish

Method

  • Pop all ingredients into your high speed blender and blend for 30secs to 1 min, until thick, creamy and delicious. 

  • Pour into small bowls or one large bowl and allow to set in fridge for 30mins before serving.  Top with cacao nibs and enjoy.
