Winter Hydration

Winter, the name, comes from an old Germanic word that means “time of water” and refers to the rain and snow of winter in middle and high latitudes.

Adequate hydration is very important all year round however, in winter nourishing your body with warming drinks such as herbal tea, warm lemon water or lush hot cacao drinks is a great way to hydrate and create a sense of calm and to nurture your nervous system, letting go of all the spring and summer fun energy….a time to ground, to slow, to appreciate.

Additionally, eating seasonal fruit, vegetables and good quality/sourced animal protein, cooked low and slow - the aroma and warmth of a deliciously nutritious meal being slowly cooked in the house all afternoon, served up in early winter darkness and enjoyed with family and friends…..mmm mmmm nourishing your body and your soul ❤️
